About
Kym Kloefkorn is a certified pediatric sleep consultant and a registered nurse (RN) who earned her masters degree in nursing (MSN) from UNC-Chapel Hill to become a nurse practitioner (NP). She has worked in both cardiology and sleep medicine as a NP.
As a mother of three girls, including twins, she understands firsthand both the advantages and challenges parents face when establishing healthy sleep habits and skills for their children.
Shortly after the birth of her first daughter, Kym was overwhelmed and exhausted by the frequent nighttime wakings. Having no prior knowledge about infant or child sleep training, she began to feel nervous about returning to work knowing she would require restful sleep to provide medical care as an NP. She soon began researching pediatric sleep methods and promptly implemented them, leading to her daughter sleeping independently within weeks.
A few years later when her twins were born, she was able to apply the knowledge she had gained previously right from the beginning. As a result, she was able to create a much calmer and joyful infant experience for her and her family.
Combining her expertise in adult sleep medicine and personal experience with sleep training, she obtained certification as a pediatric sleep consultant. Now, she offers tailored sleep guidance and strategies for families seeking improved sleep for children and ultimately, themselves.
